Wow, I think I just had a small orgasm in my pants.
man put some different bands
Awesomeee..Daath+3IOB ruleee
Well that makes THREE Roadrunner bands on this year’s bill. You think BLS or Devildriver will be added? There could really be like a half dozen RR bands on this thing…..
daath eh? thats cool. maybe daath and nile will play an offdate near me. that would be awesome.
I really hate 3 inches of blood, but daath rules. If they are going road runner, how bout dream theater plays the main stage? Opeth wouldnt do it.
fuckin sweeeet!! 3IOB has me there!
Dream Theater is doing their own headlining tour this summer.
reznor1965, this is truths.
And I love your sn. :)
2 solid additions. i’m surprised.
free baby free
Still bullshit no Bristow date….4 hours away is just too much…
Well, I’m now convinced.
I guess the mystery slot on main stage and 3 remaining spots for second stage will go to bands that will only play select dates.
Airforce, where do you live? PHily isnt that much further then bristow, unless your in southern virginia.
the main stage band will probably be alice in chains, or something like that. Or BLS, which would upset me.
AIC have been rumored for a while now but they are also thinking of doing their own tour, which would actually pay them money. It is a toss up at this point.
and as far as dream theater goes, here is the first date that has been known:
Dream Theater
Gibson Amphitheatre at Universal CityWalk
Friday, July 27 / Show Time: 8:15pm /
Good work. I still havent seen dream theater, despite loving them for 6 years.
Has anyone else noticed that every single rumor that went around about the fest this year has been false? I kind of expected lamb of god, but besides that almost everyone expected Alice in Chains, many expected Manson. Besides LOG i dont think any of the bands that are actually confirmed were ever rumored[and lots of bands were rumored].
It was also rumored to be moving to indoor arena’s
Ozzy was supposed to retire
People just need to stfu and wait for the real news! :-P
…Where’s BLS? =O
Don’t tell me… No way…
It’s about time that happens….
Manson was never really rumored to be on it since it has been known for several months that he is doing a European tour in the summer before touring US in late summer early fall. AIC may still be on the bill….The problem with them is that they may not be able to fit the entire tour in as they are planning on doing their own thing. I still think its a 50/50 chance that they play fest or don’t. But most of the time rumors are exactly that…just rumors.
If you have yet to see DT, definitely catch them this time around. They are amazing live and worth every penny. The LA show is priced between $35 and $60 but most of the shows will be between $30 and $50 on this tour, pending on the venues they play and location.
I saw Dream Theater when they rolled through West Palm on the first Gigantour. that was the shit. As far as Ozzfest goes, holy shit, dalenkwint you are 100% right. none of the bands rumored are on here. it looks like the mainstage mystery band is someone smaller than Lamb of God, so it can’t be Alice in Chains. Lamb of God is the shit and all but considering they’re the biggest band besides Ozzy is kind of saying, well, free is great, but no one wants to fuckin do it. i’m not sayin bein bigger makes you better, i’m just sayin it looks like they had trouble finding bands who wouldn’t turn the offer down. hopefully the 4 other bands will be good. i can’t wait to see Nile.
Nile being on ozzfest is one example of shock and ah.
Lamb of God will benefit sooo much if they really end up as the 2nd biggest act on the bill. They’ve already become pretty big but they’ll get even bigger just by being able to play in the same slot that has featured Priest and Maiden in recent years.
It’s MUCH better having Lamb of God as the biggest act other than Ozzy when the fest could have ended up filled with crap like disturbed or mudvayne or slipknot or stone sour or SOAD, etc.
If a band bigger than Lamb of God steps up and says they want to do the tour, you could bet your ass LOG will be moved back a slot or so. I dont think anything is set in stone just yet. Also keep in mind, Sharon encouraged bigger acts to play a “date or two” if they happen to be in town at the time or something.
Just one more thing:
With Ozzy and Lamb of God headlining it seems to me that this tour isn’t quite made for an Amphitheater environment. What lamb of God fan wants to be held back by seats?[Pussies.] I hate amphitheaters for the most part. I want to be able to go crazy all fucking day!
