Dimmu Borgir – Nuclear Blast Records Catches Who Leaked “In Sorte Diaboli” – Luca Pessina to Be Charged

Six weeks prior to the European release date of the upcoming DIMMU BORGIR album “In Sorte Diaboli” (April 27), the album appeared on multiple websites featuring free downloads, irking label Nuclear Blast Records. Since press worldwide was supplied with individual download accounts for the music on the Nuclear Blast website instead of regular promotional CDs, the source was found very fast.

Soundfiles belonged to Luca Pessina, writer for the Metalitalia webzine and news editor for the Italian edition of Metal Hammer with Pessina’s personal watermark showing up on all of the files.

Nuclear Blast Records has stated that legal steps are already in progress, with Pessina possibly facing charges and indemnity claims. Be careful what you download!

The album blows?!?!? Are you a Dimmu fan? It is their best one yet!! They keep getting better with each album. Let me guess…you think they’ve gone downhill since the original STORMBLAST. That’s fine. I am not a big fan of their stuff until “Puritanical”, as that album and “Death Cult Armageddon” destroy their previous releases. The new one absolutely blows me away.

No I’m far from the typical jilted Dimmu fan. I think they’ve gone downhill since the original tracks on Godless Savage Garden, even though I immensely enjoyed SBD and PEM, but EDT is one of my favorite albums ever and I find it unfortunate that they never made more songs like the two originals on Godless. On the other hand, I like musical progress and there’s nothing really like SBD or PEM, but boy did the bottom just drop like a stone once they could smell the looming American dollars.

The notion of lazy-ass Death Cult “destroying” their previous releases is downright laughable. I wanted Dimmu to come roaring back but it’s the same garbage as the last one. The guitars seem to have more effort put into them, but yet it’s somehow even more soulless and boring.

Ahh whatever…90% of black metal fans dwell on the groups first 2 albums (which are usually shit produced)
im a rapid black metal fan and this band just keeps getting better

i think its a good album…its definetly got alot of replay value. for those of you who complain that it isnt enough like enthrone or godless…you cant expect a band to put out the same album 15 times…that gets old. and gay.

“Good job on putting a personal watermark on illegal goods.”

She didn’t “Put her watermark on illegal goods.”

Record companies now put a unique watermark on each copy of the advance they send out so that if a leak occurs, they can find the source.

I think the new album is pretty sweet. Sucks the chick got caught though, but that’s life.

“for those of you who complain that it isnt enough like enthrone or godless…you cant expect a band to put out the same album 15 times…that gets old. and gay.”

Their first 3-4 albums weren’t alike at all. People like you who are deluded enough in musical taste to have no comprehension of a band’s aura completely dissipating are a lost cause.

“im a rapid black metal fan and this band just keeps getting better”

The word is rabid, makes more sense doesn’t it? And I doubt you’re really a black metal fan, you’re just looking for fast music with soundtrack keyboards so people think you’re weird.
