This label only signs reject bands (mostly). Im looking a their roster: Smile Empty Soul, Burn Season, Stereoside, Bomb Factory (?) !?!!?
They gotta learn to sign a band that will sell records, not that had successful past history. Stereoside sounds like a band from 2001 that would open for a dropped band on a major.
Sign someone unique or who has potential
Wowza, I remember you trolling with almost the exact same post when Bieler Bros. signed Bomb Factory, your point then was as null and uneducated as it is now. Out of the bands you mentioned, only Smile Empty Soul had a previous major release in the states.
Also you direct them to sign someone who is unique or has potential, which just shines your ignorance even more, as you would be hard pressed to find three more diverse and unique bands than Sikth( discovered Bieler Bros through Sikth), Skindred and Ankla.
Bieler Bros. is one of the closest indie labels there is to a major in terms of diversity. They have some of the most credible up and coming metal bands in Sikth and Ankla and they have the reunited Will Haven, bands all over radio and major tours like Nonpoint and Skindred and at the same time are trying to make a heavy splash in the alternative genre with bands like Karnivool, Smile Empty Soul and now this new band, who in all honesty, I think sucks but I can understand what Bieler Bros. is trying to do by signing them.
Next time you try to troll a band or label on this site why don’t you do some research.
Monster, did you notice I left OUT Skindred and Nonpoint, Sikth and Will Haven? Those bands are good w/ a proven track record – but the newer signings on the roster seem past their prime, or its just not their time.
Why havent we seen Sikth tour the States w/ such a good LP? Ankla has had 1 legit tour w/ Nonpoint and Seemless, Burn Season is just awful, Bomb Factory (see Sikth), and Smile Empty Soul is just piss-poor in every way, from production to marketing (album hasnt even sold like 20K units yet).
Im not arguing w/ you at all monster – but if you are looking at this situation black or white (which is the music industry), BBR has made some poor signings.
bieler bros have some killer signings. yes burn season, stereoside, egypt central and smile empty soul are all horrible. but nonpoint had an amazing year last year. did they ever stop touring last year? skindred has a new record cominig out, ankla are going back out on the road, will haven have a new record as well. all the just normal rock bands they sign are crap but damn the rest of the roster is amazing. bomb factory. what? yes they suck too.
I think you are all F’d in the head this band is awesome, totally radio friendly which is what sells and their music has deep meaning. Plus their live show blows away any metal show I,ve ever seen.
Just becuase it isnt metal doesn’t mean it sucks. I like both rock and metal music. Im glad Im not as one minded as you hypocrites. Plus no hot chicks really like metal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nonpoint rocks, Skindred is fun, and Sikth is crazy good. Will Haven…we’ll see. Everyone else is posh.
Easy there Cheshire. This band is radio friendly for 2002, not 2007. Their sound is dated and even radio friendly bands like Crossfade and Saliva are having a tough time keeping it up. So how does a band like Stereoside, which IMO, is 3-4 years too late, and with little money or muscle, break it big?
Answer..they dont. And radio is becoming smarter, if not more stubborn. yes there are exceptions like Nickelback, Linkin Park, Godsmack that will get air time b/c its money. But trust me, nothing NEW with an OLD sound gets through.
And why do we like metal? Cause its fresher and not as played out. Plus its not as overproduced.
Hot chicks love R&B, Pop, and Alternative. Does that mean now you’re going to like those genres too?
We’ll see……..
What makes WOWSA the expert? He needs to go to blabbermouth.com. Stereoside definitely rocks!
And what band are you from Wowza? With all your expertise and knowledge, you must have sold at least, what, millions of albums? Surely you are in a great band that doesn’t suck, so lets hear it.
Or maybe you should be in the industry signing your own bands that don’t suck.
If you don’t like what BBR are doing, then make your own label and shut-up about it.

One more time for the SLOW people out there. And please live your own lives, and not through mediocre bands.
Stereoside is not a bad band, per say, just a poor signing. There is not ONE thing that is unique about Steroside, their look, their sound, etc. Their members are in their 30s. Even their name is just…old and its already been done. I could go into any local venue in the US and see a version of this band.
You all have to calm the hell down and hop off. Learn to take someone’s opinion
And FSU sucks.
So, do you pick the bands you like because of look, band name or age? Because for me it’s about the music.
Well, when you run the most powerful label in the business and your opinion counts for something then maybe I would take it serious.
OK Wowsa. Balls in your court but I don’t hear nobody else siding with you…. or anyone asking for your autograph. You’re probably just mad because you never got a record deal. Boo Hoo. Theres more of us where that came from. Don’t make me call em all in here. Jeff, Ben, David and Chris just keep doin what ya doin and remember that head of Gnomeland Security Herb always has your back if this Wowsa gets too out of hand.
By the way, Jeff Shields the lead singer is not in his thirties. He is 23. Wrong again, WOWSA.
And…..have you seen the way this kid Jeff Shields can write music? He not only mastered guitar, bass and voice by the judges of Tallahassee Idol but he was the section leader of 18 drummers of the Wakulla War Eagle “Thunder Struck” drumline. He has the respect of many accomplished artists – A completely well rounded musician who only has one place to go and that is up. He has the charm and stage presence to capture his audience – I would say that is quite unique.
IMO…Stereoside has a great sound, The vocals are amazing and the song itself rocks….Awesome hooks!! I hate when people look at music though a certain genre, for instance Wowza is looking at Stereoside through METAL eyes, they should be looked at through MUSIC eyes, if you don’t get what I’m saying then theres no use explaining!! IMO…Stereoside will do well,,,as for the “nothing New gets through with and OLD sound” thats just ignorance bro!! But you are entitled to your opinion…..as well as I!! Rock on!! By the way the acoustic version of Little Pill rawks!!
There are a lot of babies on this post! You guys have lives outside worshiping dime-a-dozen bands?
All I am going to say is you wont see this band on a major tour, you wont hear them on the radio that long, they wont even sell 30K.
Answer me just one question: What makes this band one bit unique? Yes the singer has a decent voice. If I wanted people to hear a NEW band and make money – I would not sign this band.
I’ll be more then happy to say Im wrong if this bands gets even a bit of success. I like all types of music, and Im not the biggest metal fan.
I shouldnt have to stand up to the 10 fans this band has. I’ll let their future speak for themselves. And…FSU still sucks

I already saw this band on a major tour with Drowning Pool. I havnt heard songs like this that inspire me this much in a while. Its a breath of fresh air for me I think this is the band rock has been waiting for for a while. Plus their live show was incredible.
