OK I’ve go to say it to all u Ozzy heads out there . Yea Ozzy is more popular in the U.S then Dio but so is Hilary Duff. Whats your point? All you ever do is name old Ozzy album’s because today he’s a commercial metal sell out. Dio never sold out! “Sacred Heart, Lock Up The Wolves, Last In Line, Dream Evil” and even recent album’s ” Magica , Master Of The Moon, Killing the Dragon” are all true to Dio and his fans. Big money companies will not promote you if thay cant rite your songs so kids will watch MTV and sell pimple creams and cola’s etc.etc. As far as historic metal album’s go you’ve let us all know your not a metal fan your an Ozzy fan. Dio actually hase what are recognized as three of the all time greatest metal album’s “heaven and hell” the mob rules and holy diver” Now as far as influence is concerned listen to today’s metal vocalist and tell me whew they’re trying to sound more like? The slow droning every one can sing along voice of Ozzy or the power vocals of RJD! Popularity means nothing but advertising sellout in the U.S today. If u want original lyrics and powerful singing with awesome highs and grinding lows that no one has matched to date RJD is for you! If you want shit your old lady sings along with then its Ozzy all the way!

Metallica has played a lot of free shows. And I’m glad someone else agrees with me on Dio Sabbath. A lot of people consider Dio Sabbath to be just as good (sometimes better) than Ozzy Sabbath. So I went out and bought Heaven and Hell (widely considered the best Dio Sabbath album), and I was very disappointed. I don’t see how anyone could possibly compare this to Ozzy Sabbath. They sound like a slightly heavier version of Kiss, not nearly as dark, heavy, evil, or intense as Ozzy Sabbath. When I first heard Master of Reality, it was like a kick to the ass, where as listening to Heaven and Hell makes me feel like I should be lying on the beach in speedos getting a tan.

this is a cool idea, i just hope it means there will be good bands. im sure they make enough money off percentage of merch sales/second stage bands paying like 90 grand to play. ive never been toa single ozzfest but this is one id go to.

This is kinda of badass and shows that they really do this for the fans.
As for the dumbass who thinks Dio is better then Ozzy let me tell you this. First Off Dio was nothing more then an 80s trend voice. He turned the heaviest band of all time into another typical 80s band. He never made an album like Paranoid or Masters of Reality, you know albums that meant something, albums that changed the face of music, albums that will be remembered, albums that every metal band is influenced by.
You might like his voice better, ok whatever, but let me ask you this, Ozzy and Dio are playing the same venue whos opening for who?

Unless the hook’s gonna be lawn and bad seats are free, and then you can “upgrade” to a better seat by paying or buying the “Party Like A Rockstar” package. I really want this to be a good thing, but I just can’t see a tour like Ozzfest ever being “free”.

etc. Nothing’s “free” Sharon. If it sounds to good to be true, but judging on most of the people at Ozzfest, they’ll eat this up.
