Machine Head – Reveal Cover Artwork For New Album

MACHINE HEAD will be releasing their new album, The Blackening, through Roadrunner Records this Spring, and among the various finishing touches being made, you can now view the final cover artwork online here.

MACHINE HEAD frontman Robert Flynn recently explained to TheGauntlet.com: “It’s a metal carving from the 1500s. Back then they used a lot of crude metal carving images, almost as propaganda. It was kind of like scaring people about going to hell or whatever. A lot of it had to do with devils and death and stuff like that. They were eventually banned.”

I like it a lot, black and simple. Can't wait for the 'old-skool' MH flavor.
