Job For A Cowboy – New Song Posted Online, Announce New Drummer

JOB FOR A COWBOY have posted the following update:

“We head off for tour today and we’re planning on playing new material for you guys on the road. We wanted to give you a preproduction song that you can get an ear for our new songs. We left the studio a few days ago after recording our new album, Andy Sneap is going to be mixing and mastering our CD and we look forward to hearing the mixes. The title for our new CD is entitiled, “Genesis” and should be hitting stores in the Spring.”

You can check out the new track over at their official MySpace page.

Also, JOB FOR A COWBOY have  announced the latest addition to the line-up, Jon “The Charn” Rice. Jon has been playing drums for about 7 years. After completing a year at Capital’s Conservatory of Music, majoring in Music Business with a focus on Percussion, Jon left to pursue a career in music.

JFAC guitarist, Ravi Bhadriraju had this to say about his new band mate:

Jon’s Badass. His demo was awesome and we felt that after meeting and talking to other drummers that his personality fit best with ours. In addition to an awesome drummer, we needed someone who wants what we want and that is to tour as much as possible and he is down with that. We have no plans to stop and I’m glad we get to do that with the comfort of knowing we brought the right dude with us and that he feels the same.”

New drummer, Jon agrees:

“For me it’s a dream come true. It’s one of those things where you take a chance and send a demo over and then your life is changed. I’m really looking forward to living on the road. I’ve lived in Pittsburgh forever and starting in a few weeks I will be living the dream and seeing the world.”

JOB FOR A COWBOY just recently completed work on their Metal Blade Records debut which will be out in the Spring/Summer of 2007. The band is now gearing up for a month long trek with THE ACACIA STRAIN, SEE YOU NEXT TUESDAY, DAATH and label mates PSYOPUS. The tour starts January 12th in Menomonee Falls, WI.

Anyone interested in his earlier works, there are a couple tracks up at myspace.com/crownthelostmetal …Too bad he left, Crown The Lost was pretty good…

  3. Ricky says:

It sucks. He sounds like Lamb of Gay in this new song. Not to mention they don't even sound like the same band. Which is good to some people, but bad for people that liked them including myself. I've said it before and I'll say it again though, All Shall Perish > JfaC.

  4. Aegis says:

I'm signed, and they still suck

  5. newclearwaste says:

They're not better musicians than my band, so I'll continue talking shit. They're decent, but too generic.

New song is definitely better than their old stuff, too much pointless wankery going on though, and not the good kind.
