Auditory Assault Fest (MD) – Commit Suicide, Internal Suffering Drop Off, Replacement Announced
The organizers for the first annual Auditory Assault Festival, which will take place this Saturday, December 2nd at Sonar in Baltimore, MD, have posted the following update:
“2 bands have dropped off of Auditory Assault festival.
Both INTERNAL SUFFERING and COMMIT SUICIDE will not play at the festival. Generally anytime a band cancels, we state the reason the band gives us on the website. However we still have not received any reason for the cancelation of INTERNAL SUFFERING and aren’t waiting around any longer to update this website. It is not our responsibility to try and hunt people down to figure out why a band has dropped off, so if you were looking forward to seeing them, ask the band why they aren’t playing and not us because we have absolutely no idea.
As for COMMIT SUICIDE, their drummer has been MIA since August, doesn’t show up to rehearsals and the other members of the band have not been able to contact him by phone or e-mail. The rest of the band is frustrated that they have to cancel, but they have no choice.
As for replacements, MORTAL DECAY (New Jersey) will be filling in one of the spaces. As for the second replacement, all of the local bands we’ve asked up until now can’t play because of such short notice. If you are in a decent local band and are able to play this Saturday, contact us and you might have a shot at getting on the bill.
We will see everyone on Saturday.”
Bands still confirmed to play include ATHEIST, MONSTROSITY, CRETIN, MISERY INDEX, BATHTUB SHITTER, PHOBIA, KILL THE CLIENT, and more.
