OneSideZero – Put Up New Music, Witness Igor and Max Calavera Play Sepultura Songs Live

ONESIDEZERO’s Levon Sultanian has checked in with a long awaited band update, which includes gossip about a Cavalera reunion, and new music:

“We’ve put up a new song up on our myspace page called ‘Sleep’…not the snippet, the whole version…You can find it here. Also the new album is due out early/mid 2007 if all goes well…it’s done, mixed and produced by Mr. Ulrich Wild (Pantera, Deftones, White Zombie), just in the final stages of where we’ll give it a home for a release…”

“In other OSZ happenings, we just got back from a short trek trying out our new songs live…and our first stop was the D’Low Memorial Festival in Tempe, AZ.”

“Wow, what a weekend it was… first of all I’d like to send a huge Thank You to Max and Glo Cavalera (Soulfly Tribe) for inviting us to be a part of such an important family event such as the 10th annual D-Low memorial festival.”

“Then, at about half-way thru SOULFLY’s set, who’s getting up on drums to rock a couple of old SEPULTURA songs…? None other than his brother Igor Cavalera…all I can say is, WOW…! WOW!  I mean I’ve seen SOULFLY play with some amazing drummers like the guy they got now and of course Mr. Roy Mayorga, but I gotta say man, watching Igor up there was something else. Those 2 guys rocked it as if it was only yesterday that they last jammed… not 10 years ago…WOW! I stood there on side-stage from start to finish and just soaked it all in…What a fuckin’ night for a metal head who grew up listening to those guys…I don’t know but I hope this sparks a whole new life into them to bring SEPULTURA back with the OG line up…”
