Zakk Wylde – BLS Scoring Big at Radio – Prepare for Multi-Month tour

Legendary, Grammy winning guitarist ZAKK WYLDE and his band, BLACK LABEL SOCIETY, scored #1 Most Added honors at Active Rock with the new single “Concrete Jungle.” Added to over 25 stations around the country, including WAAF in Boston, KUPD in Phoenix, KXXR in Minneapolis, KOMP in Las Vegas and WRIF in Detroit, among others, the single is the first from Zakk’s latest rock ‘n roll opus, Shot to Hell. This upcoming Roadrunner Records release (his first for the label) hits stores nationwide on September 12th. BLS will perform the single, as well as other tracks off of the new album, on the U.S. headlining tour that kicks off in Sayreville, NJ on October 19th.

Radio programmers are already heaping plenty of praise on Shot To Hell. “Neader” Paul Marshall of 98.9 KQRC FM in Kansas City, MO proclaims that, ”Black Label Society defies conventional wisdom. It’s not just a band. It’s a lifestyle. It’s what Rock is supposed to be. It’s dirty, sleazy, and everything you’ve been told not to embrace. And yet you wrap yourself around it and grin. Because everyone who pisses you off, will be pissed off by your appreciation of Zakk & Co. Black Label Society is everything you heard Rock n’ Roll was, but have yet to witness. It’s time…S.D.M.F [Strength Determination Merciless Forever]!!!!!”

Along with the success of the single, ZAKK WYLDE continues to show up in all mediums of press. He recently appeared on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, playing Candyland with comedian Mitch Fatel during their Ozzfest segment. Additionally, he appeared on New York City’s WB11 Morning Show, where he taught the anchor a few licks on guitar. Zakk has also graced the covers of the September issues of Guitar World and Metal Edge magazines, has appeared as the marquee artist in Blender.com’s Ozzfest coverage, and will have a feature interview in Men’s Health magazine where he talks about juggling family life and constant touring.
