Tub Ring – Attacked By Band With No Sense of Humor

According to a fan’s posting on their official message board, TUB RING was recently attacked by BLACK MY HEART at a recent show:
“black my heart… this dumb straight edge hardcore band got all offended coz rob said ‘you guys are gonna have to listen to elton john for a week to get all this hardcore out of your system.’ they got all shitty and threw a bunch of little shit at Tub during their set and then they threw a barstool. it broke jeff’s guitar, rob’s keyboard, and hit both of them…. they threw a lockbox thqat hit jeff’s ankle. trevor went after him and was liek “WTF?!?!” and the guy headbutted trevor and busted up his lip. the cops came and arrested the guy. it was fucked up.”

But seriously, this sucks. Show I was going to tonight : One band broke up last week, another had their equipment stolen a few days ago, and now one band gets arrested. Guess I'm not going.
why do such hardheaded assholes always have to prove something then end up giving straight edge and hardcore a bad name? i swear we're not all like that.

I laughed when I read this news. As would most Black My Heart fans. Hell, the band is probably laughing about it. The only thing that upsets me about this situation is that it's prime ground for morons to talk down on hardcore when they really have no clue.

What's up with the whole "hardcore fashion" thing? It seems like a LOT of those guy all wear little soccer-style shoes with no socks and long shorts (preferably camo). And they've all got the tough, gym rat thing going on. It's like hardcore is an outlet for jocks that aren't talented enough to make the team.
I saw Unearth and Black Dahlia Murder several months ago, and Terror was one of the other bands on the tour. Those guys were all lifting weights outside their van before the show. They might as well just wear shirts that say "I can beat you up." These bands care more about their toughguy image than the music.

Decadence-why are you, and many others, so threatened by someone who has self control(i.e. doesnt get drunk etc.)?
