According to an official e-card, OZZFEST 2006 will officially be announced this Thursday, March 9 at 9pm EST, with tickets going on sale to Ozzfest.com members on Wednesday, March 15. As previously reported, acts heavily rumored to have been confirmed include: SYSTEM OF A DOWN, DISTURBED, BLACK LABEL SOCIETY, ATREYU, UNEARTH and BLEEDING THROUGH.

it will be interesting to see who is willing to pay so much money to be on the 2nd stage considering there are all these other big summer tours now.

If you take a step back, it's definately these new tours that ruined Ozzfest for this year. It's not a bad thing, Change is good too. Ozzy and Sabbath are also good, but Ozzy can't seem to make enough dates on the tours when he's scheduled, so that's not even a factor.
Ozzfest doesn't need to be appealing to the underground anymore. It makes sense. If you, like me, don't like the way the lineup is shaping, then it's not meant to appeal to you anyway.
I agree with slapit, I probably wouldn't go for free either.

A friend of mine and myself talked to Guy from The Red Chord and he told us that they are on Ozzfest this year.
This is probably the only band I would like to see play thus far.
Like said, with Disturbed and System of a Down there, its going to be all kids. If some more of those rumored bands were actually added, I might end up going. Slayer tour is a guarantee if it makes it here.
i doubt if godsmack is on it theyd be that high up on the bill.they arnt as big as they use to be.

Yeah if tha is the line up I think its pretty shitty. When ozzy is done have sabath with dio im proboly going to get shit for this but dio is a far better vocolist then ozzy.
Gigantour has a better line up if what i heard is true but it was fomr a good surce.

Ive seen maybe 1 or 2 positive comments about Ozzfest so far. Fucking christ some of you need to wake the fuck up and realize that not every tour is going to be 100% up to your extremely high standards :laughing:
Ozzfest has become more about tradition for me than anything..Very true that this years line-up probably will not be as good as the past 2 years..However, I think some people are jumping to conclusions on this years line-up..I've been to every Ozzfest since 2000 (including 2000)..Every year a lot of bands that I expect to be disappointed with actually turn out to have a really good show..I don't think this year will be any exception..If there's one thing that the Osbournes are good at is giving the fans a pretty good show..I personally am not impressed with the main stage but I give credit where credit is due…Disturbed has yet to disappoint me live..System of course is better on headlining tours than doing Ozzfest (as are some other bands)..It isn't easy to do Ozzfest and it's very demanding..Working for Ozzfest 3 years ago, I found that out very quickly..I trust this years show will go pretty good and as I mentioned earlier..I will not believe any rumors about this show until I see the Official Line-up…If there would be any advice I would give to any of you it would be to give it a chance even if some of the bands you are not a fan of..You may be surprised by their performances..
Fuck megadeath is right but i heard the line up of gigantour from one of the bands who is to perform and I think 4 of the 6 bands are worth while. I would love to post who is on it but the member said to keep it under wraps when its announed ill see if its what i heard but if what i heard is true its better then ozzfest if that line up is true.
After the way Sharon & Kelly Osbourne disrespected Iron Maiden last year, I assumed we would boycott Ozzfest this year.

I think that lineup is probably bullshit anyways becuase some of those bands are playing other festivals at the same time overseas. Ozzfest will most likely suck, but i won't judge that until 9:00 tonight when the lineup is officially announced. Oh yeah, pureamericanmetal, Megadeth kills every band on that lineup. Seeing that your name is pureamericanmetal, it seems you should show some respect to a band that paved the way for other american metal bands.
