Kemado Records – Announce SXSW Showcase Info and Lineup
Kemado Records, the NYC-based independent record label that has issued albums from THE SWORD, DUNGEN and DIAMOND NIGHTS amongst others, will showcase at SXSW 2006.
The Kemado Records showcase will take place on Friday, March 17th at Austin, TX’s Buffalo Billiards and will feature performances from ELEFANT, THE FEVER, TARANTULA A.D., THE SWORD and DIAMOND NIGHTS.
On Saturday, March 18th Kemado will celebrate the release of the impending INVADERS compilation by hosting a special SXSW closing night party. The late night show will take place at Positively 4th Street (1300 4th St., Austin, TX) beginning at 10:00 PM and will feature live performances from SAVIOURS, WITCH, THE SWORD and DUNGEN.
Consisting of 18 tracks of unreleased and rare material from the cream of the crop of today’s heavy rock, metal and psych musical styles, INVADERS‘ common thread is that whatever the genre tag, “it’s all heavy”. The album will feature liner notes from author and metal historian Ian Christe (”Sound of the Beast: The Complete Headbanging History of Heavy Metal”). INVADERS will be released on April 25 via Kemado.
