According to an official post on their MySpace, the longstanding Tampa, Florida venue The Masquerade has shut it’s doors. No official statement or reason has been given. The club was first opened on October 24, 1987 and closed down on February 25, 2006.

this is horseshit! ive seen some great metal shows there over the years! hopefully somebody buys it and reopens it. i'm really quite curious as to why they are closing though.
well having a murder in your club isnt usually too good for business….
thats not what closed it. and thats no reason to close either, when businesses get robbed or somebody gets killed because of a result, do they close? no. the club still drew in thousands every week.
