Take stoner rock and add a bit of punkish grrl attitude and you’ll come up with something along the lines of Karmadoza. Of course, it could be that I’m just saying, “Ooooh, a girl stoner rock singer.” But, (a) I’ve heard those before, and (b) there’s just some don’t-fuck-with-me punky kinda attitude afoot here. At any rate, what you get is some nice down below stoner metal guitar work, something to rock the ganja to, while an unexpected hot female voice kicks in and takes over the duties where normally you’d hear some tenor-throated guy catching the high end over the stoner down-tunedness. It’s a real basic decision on this one. Do you like stoner metal? Do you have an affinity somewhere for stuff with a toe in punk? Ya dig chick vocalists? Well, dig in, then.
