Chuck Norris Experiment

Stoner rock fans, gather ’round. I don’t know why I find it a tad surprising but Sweden seems to be home to a dedicated stoner rock scene and The Chuck Norris Experiment is a good example of it. First off, the vocals. They’re on the high end and full of attitude (and conveyed with a bit of reverb, just the right amount if you ask me). There’s back up vocals that help with that retro rock flavor. And the music is awash in fuzz and whiskey and balls-out energy. It’s a catchy and fun mix from a band that is obviously out to just make some great rock and roll. If you dig stoner you owe it to yourself to introduce yourself to the this band, raw and gritty but nicely done, and vicariously through this band, the scene behind them. So come on!
