Dry Kill Logic – Cliff Rigano Update – Band Announces New Bassist

DRY KILL LOGIC’s Cliff Rigano has checked in with a full update from the studio, as well as the announcement of new bassist Brendan Duff (ex-100 DEMONS, A THOUSAND FALLING SKIES):

“What’s up everyone – Cliff here, writing to you over a cup of coffee and full chillum on a Monday morning. We’ve been locked in our studio writing non-stop for the new record; people always ask what the new record is going to sound like….I like to tell them a mix of gospel, dance and 80’s new wave, just to get a rise out of them. All jokes aside though, the writing is coming along great – the new music is definitely aggressive, and the guys have really been stepping up the riffs, songwriting and musicianship. Hopefully I don’t drop the ball with the vocals and lyrics. We’re really excited for you all to hear the new music!”

“But here is the BIG NEWS: Brendan Duff, our longtime friend and former member of 100 Demons and A Thousand Falling Skies, has joined DKL as our new bassist! We’ve always known that Brendan was the man for this job, and it’s been a long time coming – we are stoked to have such a close friend and tremendous musician in the band. Brendan will be joining us on our upcoming UK/European tour as well as recording bass on the new record, and we are unbelievably excited about 2006 and beyond! He replaces Casey Mahoney, another dear friend to the DKL camp – we have nothing but love and respect for Casey, so when you see him around (and you definitely will), be sure to stop and give him a hug!”

“There’s a lot more news on the way in the coming weeks – be sure to keep checking out the website and Myspace pages for more DKL announcements as hey happen!”

wow, he went from a really good hardcore band to a pretty crappy metalcore band and finally to an atrocious nu-metal band. the next news we'll see on here about him will be regarding his suicide

Its somewhat nice to hear that they're still around. Theyre not very nu-metal though.

Yeah, DKL are pure Metalcore. THe first album was a heavier nu-metal CD.

But if you think about it. Isnt every nu-metal band's newest heavy album dubbed "metalcore"
