Download 2006 – Guns N’ Roses / Metallica to Headline – More Artists Confirmed

A wealth of bands have been officially confirmed for the 2006 edition of one of the UK’s largest festivals – DOWNLOAD FESTIVAL. Headlined by METALLICA and none other than GUNS N’ ROSES, the show will also feature:

WITHIN TEMPTATION

LACUNA COIL
…with more set to be announced shortly. The 3 day event will take place at Donington Park from June 9-11.

the promoters booked guns n roses, which will help attract thousands upon thousands of people….only guns n roses will more than likely not show up, therefore the promoter wont have to pay for the hotel nor the guarantor (of which i'm sure guns n roses would ask for something outrageous!) they'll make a ton of profit with a move like this.

This should be a very interesting show..The Download Festival has always been of interest to me (even though I live in the US)..Seems like the UK always get really good shows with a fairly decent line-up..This tour I would attend for Metallica, Trivium, Hatebreed, Deftones and KoRn have yet to disappoint me live so I would not have a problem with seeing them again..
As far as GNR, I would turn them down the same reason I turned them down the last time they toured..I refuse to pay money to see ONLY Axl Rose..To me, it isn't GNR without the original members and Buckethead is a joke of a replacement for Slash IMO…This falls along the lines of why I have no interest in seeing Velvet Revolver..

It is people like these that put people off metal. People don't want to be stereotyped as PESIMISTIC, MOANEY LITTLE CUNTS like these. Grow up and stop moaning. It's gonna be a fuckin great festival, with a fuckin great line up and i can't wait.
