Dimmu Borgir – In Full Writing Mode – Aim for Early `07 Release
BraveWords and Bloody Knuckles is reporting that DIMMU BORGIR are in “full writing mode” and working hard on completing what will surely be the most highly anticipated album of the band’s career. “We’ve gotta get a few songs about 90 percent finished,” guitarist Silenoz reveals, “and then we’ll take it to the rehearsal space and start jamming on them. The main character of the lyrics is about someone living in the dark medieval times and feels the necessity to find god, and the more he explores and searches for answers and proof that god exists, the more he finds himself finding the opposite to be true. Then people start to believe that he is in league with the devil and perhaps he’s even the devil himself. So far there are at least two complete songs and we have tons and tons of ideas. Hopefully by the fall we will be in the studio with [producer] Peter Tägtgren so we can at least have it out in early 2007″.

I hate when bands go that long without putting out an album. thatll be almost 4 yrs since death cult. i know theres alot of touring but damn. you wonder what else the band is doing. fuck the remake, the new album could have been done instead of the remake.

early '07….what the hell it should take them about 3 hours to make the next album…cause its shit anyway.. they should spend more time learning to play good music and less on their costumes and face paint…

I just bought the STORMBLAST re-release, and since I had never heard the original version, it is all new stuff to me. Very good album. I do wish the new one would be out sooner, because although STORMBLAST is very good, they have progressed a great deal since then in my opinion. The last 2 albums from them are absolute fucking classics.

sounds like its you who has no clue about the band. give this band credit, they are the most significant, most popular black metal band of the modern era. and theyve probably surpassed cradle of filth for the most successful. im guessing but i think thats pretty legitimate.

Drudkh? well thats pretty random :P I like Dimmu and i agree that they've had a big impact, especially in opening metal to a bigger audience. I mean sure they're pretty ridiculous and all that but they make good metal in my opinion
