Six String Masterpieces – The Dimebag Darrell Art Tribute – Information Released

“Rock Stars and Modern Artists join forces for an amazing art exhibit in remembrance of Dimebag Darrell Abbott and to support music education.”

SIX-STRING MASTERPIECES:THE DIMEBAG DARRELL ART TRIBUTE is: A collection of 50 DEAN ML guitars that have been hand-painted by world-famous Rock Stars and internationally known Tattoo & Visionary Artists in memorial tribute to one of the greatest guitarists of all time, DIMEBAG DARRELL ABBOTT.

“There has never been an exhibit like this” states Exhibit Producer Curse Mackey. ” the fans of these artists are going to be really amazed at this project. It is such a cool thing that these artists have donated their time and talent to make this tribute to Dime a reality.”

The rock community is really stepping up for Darrell. The artist list is beyond belief! The exhibit features art work from MARILYN MANSON, ROB ZOMBIE, JAMES HETFIELD, KERRY KING, JERRY CANTRELL, DAVE NAVARRO, TED NUGENT, TOMMY LEE, LINKIN PARK, JON DAVIS, MUNKY, DAVE GROHL, SAMMY HAGARD and more!

The guitar model being used as “the canvas” is the DEAN ML, originally designed in 1976 by DEAN ZELINSKY, the founder of DEAN GUITARS. This is DIMEBAG DARRELL’s signature instrument, the exact model he played his whole life.

DIMEBAG DARRELL was a cherished individual who was highly respected by the music industry and fans for his incredible talent and vibrant personality.

SIX-STRING MASTERPIECES debuted Jan 19-22 in Anaheim, California in front of 50,000 people at NAMM, a massive music industry convention. The exhibit had incredible response with many people saying it was the highlight of NAMM. The exhibit will now tour to no less than ten major US markets at top concert venues, musuems, music instrument retail stores and Fine Art Galleries during the spring and summer of 2006. At the completion of the tour, the Art Guitars will be auctioned off via one of NYC’s top auction houses/galleries, with funds being donated to a foundation that supports Music Education in our schools.

“After the untimely passing of my friend Darrell Abbott, I am dedicated to keeping his name and image in the limelight. This promises to be a great event for the memory of Dimebag Darrell and a great cause with the charity. Thank you for your interest.” – Dean B. Zelinsky – Founder, Dean Guitars

Why, because you dont like them? Im sure they were better friends with Dime than you were, so how would that be an insult? What does contributing artwork for a dead persons tribute have to do with your taste in music?
