Disturbed – Frontman Claims Bands Is Confirmed For Ozzfest 2006

DISTURBED frontman David Draiman has announced that his band has been confirmed for Ozzfest 2006. According to Blabbermouth.net, Drainman said on a radio interview, “It looks like at this point that we are confirmed for Ozzfest this summer, so that should be a good thing. It’s looking like that’s gonna happen, so…”
DISTURBED joins BLACK LABEL SOCIETY as the only bands to be confirmed for this year’s Ozzfest.

It is simple…it's just frustrating as fuck…because you know it could be such an amazing show…like they could just go and choose 20 bands that you think rock…but then they just go and pick ones that you hate…
Whatever though…at least there's Gigantour…if Overkill does play, nothing will be able to make that tour shitty…
As for Ozzfest…let's just hope it doesn't go into the direction of the 10th Anniversary DVD…
Well they have confirmed what, 2 bands, possibly 3 out of 20. Just give it time. I'm sure there will be some good bands. I can say I will be attending Ozzfest this year no matter what. I know I wont like every band there but I'm not going to cry about it.

I actually don't mind the only 2 bands confirmed…I was just saying why it's pissing so many people off…
Plus I have a strong feeling/I'm hoping that Children of Bodom and Lamb of God are gonna be playing…to me it'd be worth it just to see those two bands…
I hope Mastodon plays too…they cancelled the show I went to last year because of a family emergency or something. :sad:
Yeah they better play in Salt Lake too. If not, I'll take a road trip somewhere. Watch out for Hatebreed on the 2nd stage. They didnt play last year so it wouldnt be of any shock to me.
yeah I'll go to ozzfest no matter what, just because it's better then sitting on my ass at home or working. It's fun even if you don't give a shit about alot of the bands. How do you think alot of the older people feel? They don't like most of the newer bands out there, but they sit through the whole show just to see Ozzy. At least Ozzfest comes to most of your cities every year. KC has been fucked twice in the past 4 years.
First of all, I strongly doubt SOAD will be on Ozzfest because on their website they said they wanted to take time off this summer so they won't be doing any tours.

you humble me with your incredible arguments. seriously, you must know NOTHING about metal if you don't realize melodic death is dead. the golden days of eucharist and at the gates are gone. the genre has become oversaturated with copycats and clones: norther, kalmah, mors principium est, imperanon, skyfire, gardenian, nightrage, julie laughs nomore, the duskfall, blah blah blah.
what about the genre heavyweights? arch enemy hasn't had a good album since gossow signed on board. soilwork's been pissing away since a predator's portrait. in flames has degenerated into a nu-metal band. amon amarth has released the same CD over and over again since versus the world. there is no innovation left. in fact, the only band that has lasted through all of this crap is dark tranquillity.
does that mean there aren't any good melodic death bands? no. arsis, quo vadis, arghoslent.. then again, these aren't gothenburg cookie-cutter bands, they actually still have the DEATH part of melodic DEATH. but those very few can't save this genre from where it's headed.

The attendance numbers are low, BUT they are also doing clubs 1,500 total capacity places… They are doing realllllyy small venues, ALSO every show on the Jagermeister tour has SOLD OUT!
They could have every good band dead or alive but if sabbath or ozzy solo isnt on it i dont care and will not go

I really think people should stop judging this years ozzfest when we have at least 2 more months to go until the line-up and dates are announced..I honestly don't see the big deal about Disturbed performing on the main stage…I agree their new stuff isn't worth the buy but they've always put on a good live show and have great attitudes about working Ozzfest…
Every year, this is what happens..a band that isn't popular with the crowd for is announced for Ozzfest and hype and negativity spreads like AIDS through a faggot..Then 2 more months roll around and the official line-up and the same kids look at the second stage line-up and say "holy shit, i'm going"…I'm all for open comments and opinions but some of you should realize that there is still time for better bands to be added on the bill and negative assumptions can most of the time be incorrect…Give it another couple of months…As much as I hate Sharon, in the past 2 years The Osbournes have actually taken into consideration bands that the fans could like (ex: Arch Enemy, Soilwork;etc)
