This list is horrible, as was that Opeth album (and I like them too). Man our users suck. AILD, A7X, AND Chimaira over DT, Soilwork, SYL, and Cryptopsy? No Priest, Municipal Waste, Arsis, or Behemoth?
Even BBM has better taste than this. :sad: :crying: :sad:

Proof that nobody at smn has taste. Atleast a couple people from a band or two knew their first. That list sucks.

I think we should be happy that there is some good stuff in there. I am totally surprised it wasn't filled with crap. The only stuff I really don't think should be in there is Mudvayne – Lost and Found and The Roadrunner United album.
Trivium over Nevermore? what a fucking joke. And how did Avenged Sevenfold even make the list? City of Evil is an awful record.
I'm seriously surprised the Roadrunner record is on there. Like the others I'm not THAT surprised to see on there (the bands probably sent out shit in their myspaces :laughing:) but jesus that RRU shit was awful. None of the songs stood out and a lot of the best talent they had was either never used or wasted completely.
Mudvayne's not even metal! How in the hell do they get on that list AND beat Soilwork?

I personally thought that the Roadrunner United cd was awesome and as for city of evil it's good guitar work but the singing kind of ruins it
Also, no Hypocrisy (I'm sure a lot of you can agree with me when I say that Virus was one of the greatest of last year), no Kreator, and no Beneath The Massacre.
I like how everybody acts surprised that the entire list isn't some lot of underground extreme metal. A lot more people visit this site than the ones who comment regularly. I think it's cool to see so much variety on the list, and just because I don't agree with it doesn't mean I have to listen to those albums.
why does opeth pop up as #1 on every album list in 05. am i the only one who thought that cd only had 2 good songs. and where the fuck is behemoth on that list. demigod fucking ruled

It's because that's where all the talent is. These halfassed guitar riffs from all these metalcore clones, and repetitive albums, don't deserve to be on any list like this.

I'm sorry, but not all talent lies in underground extreme metal. If you think so, than you're an underground sheep. Just because it's underground doesn't mean it's good, and it certainly doesn't atomatically qualify them as talented. I agree with anus.

How do they not deserve to be on this list? The fans' top albums of 2005, last time I checked, all those bands have fans.
