yay, Ministry. And QOTSA as well.

  2. Aegis says:

omg i hope rammstein wins and then performs on the show :P

  3. Anus says:

Even though the Grammies are pointless and dumb, QOTSA should be nominated for Burn The Witch instead.

  4. murch says:

I really want NIN to win for hard rock, but I'm sure System of a Down will walk away with it. I'm torn between Rammstein and Shadows Fall in the metal category.

  5. volumedealer1 says:

    It will be Mudvayne.
    Shadows fall is over-hyped crap

  6. slayerfanatic says:

    rammstein is fucking awesome

  7. xXxclichexgarbagex says:

So by 'Metal' they mean, 'Best Hard Rock Performance 2.'

  8. metalkillsall says:

Shadows fall should win in my view, they fucking rule. However slipknot will probably be the winner.

  9. LordOfTheStrings says:

Mudvayne is MORE over-hyped and MORE crappy.

  10. SystemBranden says:

I am not sure who will win in the Best Metal Performance side of things, but I am almost for sure Audioslave will take the Best Hard Rock Performance…but then again SOAD or NIN could very well take it.

And xXxclichexgarbagex quit fucking whining…Grammy's are all based upon the success your album does in sales. Of course REAL metal bands aren't going to be in it. If real metal bands were winning Grammy's, that just wouldn't make them metal.

  11. Anus says:

So metal bands aren't allowed to sell albums?

  12. cma3585 says:

nope. how would we all feel so special and unique knowing 2 million other people bought the same album?

  13. redxonxwhite says:

    I hate Shadows Falls

  14. rising end says:

shadows fall is pretty fucking awesome, but of course their earlier and most talented stuff is not mentioned by anyone. why does it seem that people only know them by the war within. what about of one blood or somber eyes to the sky, im sure if you really listened to that which is better than anything mudvayne's ever put together, then you wouldn't call them "overhyped".

  15. uncultured trash says:

I'll take Shadows Fall and S.O.A.D.

  16. uncultured trash says:

Manager: Yeah, the record label and myself have decided that we want you to be a slighty heavier Nickelback

Mudvayne: ummm ok, what does that entail?

Manager: You have to drop the painted face gimmick and be a much more radio friendly band and in the process alienate about 60% of your fan base that has supported you up to "Lost and Found"…but the upside is you may make millions more.

Mudvayne: (group looks at one another)…where do we sign?

  17. xXxclichexgarbagex says:

I have Somber Eyes to the Sky, and I encourage all of you to get it. It's much better.

SystemBranden – Cool. Didn't dispute that. But how about metal bands in the metal category? Thanks, pansy.

  18. Samothy says:

Mudvayne's L.D. 50 is by far one of the best metal albums in the past 7 years… take a look at how much is put into it technically… you can drone on and on about how much they've sold out lately… but they're still making enjoyable music to listen to… and if they get more fans and sell more records… why would you hate them for doing their job? they're not here to please the 500 people who want to be "REAL METAL" they're hear to make a living for themselves and do something they enjoy… and they've stated several times they enjoy what their doing and they're not close to breaking up so they're obviously doing something right personally and musically. Although Determined wouldn't be my first choice for a grammy nomination from "Lost and Found"…

  19. samothy says:

although I am very surprised to see that Trivium didn't make it to the list considering how much everyone loves them lately…

  20. xXxclichexgarbagex says:

Dude, L.D. 50 was is by far one of the best nu metal albums to throw on for nostalgia purposes, and nothing more. It is good, but nowhere near the best. And they're not "REAL METAL." Such an overhyped band.. :wassat:

More like how much Roadrunner has been sucking their dicks lately (as well as their fans).

rammstein are nomminated for an AMERICAN grammy? holy shit, this country actually did something right for once.

  23. Samothy says:

    Touche'

  24. lan says:

Rammstein has had a big fanbase here since… like… 1998…

  25. UserFromHell says:

    Old Rammstein > New Rammstein

  26. Aegis says:

Rammstein is what got me into metal. Gotta love those fuckin Germans.

  27. donkeypuncher says:

"Old Rammstein > New Rammstein" -UserFromHell

    Yes indeed.

  28. soilworkerben says:

Burning Down Churches > Winning a Grammy

  29. scartrek says:

NIN and Rammstein have my votes. I'll be very disappointed if they don't take something home, but if Ministry takes something, I'll be happy about that as well. Everyone else pretty much sucks.

  30. mikey.der.explosion. says:

rammstein has always had a big american fanbase. american award shows usually never give them the time of day though.

now if only america would discover megaherz.

    megaherz > rammstein

  31. metalkillsall says:

Whoever said mudvayne sounds like nickelback is just stupid. Lost and found is full of screaming, which will definitly keep most of it off the radio. There's really only two completely melodic songs on the entire album.

"shadows fall is pretty fucking awesome, but of course their earlier and most talented stuff is not mentioned by anyone. why does it seem that people only know them by the war within. what about of one blood or somber eyes to the sky, im sure if you really listened to that which is better than anything mudvayne's ever put together, then you wouldn't call them "overhyped"."

I agree that they are definitly not overhyped, they are a great band. I Love of one blood just as much as art of balance and war within. I've never been one that to separate old from new, I think that is a cop-out. I generally like it all.
