The Sword – “Age of Winters” – Title for Debut Full Length – Release New Music
Dynamic Austin, Texas-based quartet THE SWORD have set “Age of Winters” as the title of their debut full length album, set for a February 14, 2006 release via Kemado Records.
THE SWORD (guitarist / singer J.D. Cronise, guitarist Kyle Shutt, bassist Bryan Richie and drummer Trivett Wingo), who’s thick, molten sound combines metal’s beloved past with the forward-thinking enthusiasm of today’s heavy music elite, deliver exhilarating songs — featuring huge riffs and intense drumming — that are at once melodious, catchy and punishing. The band showcased material from “Age of Winters” at three sold out New York City live performances last month.
The final track listing for Age of Winters is “Celestial Crown”, “Barael’s Blade”, “Freya”, “Winter’s Wolves”, “The Horned Goddess”, “Iron Swan”, “Lament for the Aurochs”, “March of the Lor” and “Ebethron”. The song “Iron Swan” has been posted online and can be previewed at this location.
