Daylight Dies – Confirm March 7 as Release Date for “Dismantling Devotion” – Reveal Tracklisting

Candlelight Records today confirms March 7 as the US release date for “Dismantling Devotion” from DAYLIGHT DIES. It is the second full-length album from the band, currently headquartered in North Carolina, and officially ends a four-year recording gap.

The near hour-long “Dismantling Devotion” is a giant step forward for the already popular quintet. With album recording split between Volume 11 Studios and Techtronic Laboratories (North Carolina), mixing by Jens Bogren at Fascination Street Studios (Sweden) and mastering by Thomas Eberger at The Cutting Room (Sweden), the album is already receiving rave reviews from early listenings. KATATONIA guitarist Anders Nystrom says, “I really hope others will be able to share the experience that fills you up for the loss for words when listening to this album. If “Dismantling Devotion” would have been released in 2005, it would have been my choice for the album of the year.”

Drummer Jesse Haff recently noted “it is certainly the most mature material we’ve written to date. For us it is a strong progression that really shows off our emotionally dark and desperate music; a diverse mix of melancholic, melodic and exceedingly heavy songs.”

DAYLIGHT DIES toured with LACUNA COIL in the US and KATATONIA in Europe in 2003 and are already in the planning stages to hit the road in support of their next effort. Guitarist Barre Gambling says, “I look forward to hitting the road again and playing our new songs for people, especially after a long hibernation.”

Confirmed track listing for “Dismantling Devotion” is as follows:

A Life Less Lived
Dead Air
A Dream Resigned
All We Had
Solitary Refinement
Strive to See
Lies that Bind
Dismantling Devotion

The album features compositions from photographer Jeff Brubaker.
