New albums on the way from Machine Head, Moonspell and Dark Tranquillity
Three high-profile bands have all announced recently that they will be recording new albums. Here’s the run down:
MACHINE HEAD:
“We’re also now officially in “writing mode” for the next album! We’ve been at it for a few weeks now, and just last practice I had “that” feeling again about some of the stuff we’re working on!
Writing new stuff is weird, you go through days that are just kinda ‘blah’, and then there are days where some things just come together and you really start to see where they are going. We were playing this one part the other day and Robb started singing (growling!) over it and holy shit, I can tell you already that it is gonna be SICK! Lots of killer stuff that EVERYONE is contributing to… already, I can’t wait for this album to come out!!!” – Dave McClain
Last album: Through the Ashes of Empires (2003 world / 2004 U.S.)
MOONSPELL:
“Pre-production of the new record starts 3rd of October with Waldemar Sorychta at Inferno Studios, Portugal and Woodhouse Studios in Germany is booked from the 3rd to the 27th of November for the final recordings and mixing. A studio diary will keep you posted on the new site.”
Last album: The Antidote (2003)
DARK TRANQUILLITY:
A message on the band’s homepage simply states, “Songwriting for the next album has started.”
Last album: Character (2005)
